Vintage Cellar Review:
"The 2012 Tres Ojos Garnacha contains 15% Tempranillo (I wonder why), and unoaked cuvee of 200,000 bottles that matures in vat for at least seven months before bottling. hat I tasted was a very honest, fresh and fruit-drived red with aromas of cherries, garrigue and thyme with a medium-bodied palate, some weight and tannins that would do better with food. This is a red that sells for a song." 88 points - Robert Parker

My Review:
I enjoyed the Tres Ojos Garnacha less than the Torre Castillo Monastrell. It had a very mulchy, dirt aroma that I really did not enjoy or appreciate. However the taste was slightly spicey with vanilla and cherry notes. It was smooth and the finish was slightly buttery.

I did not have any food while tasting this wine.
